32″ Upstar P32EA8 60Hz LED HDTV via Amazon
Upstar P32EA8 is a budget 32 inch (31.5” to be exact) Class LED-backlit TV with 1366 x 768 pixel resolution, 16:9 image aspect ratio, 250 cd/m2 brightness, 1200:1 contrast ratio, 85 degree viewing angle (75 degree vertical) offering realistic picture quality with high contrast, sharper details, brighter whites, darker blacks and vibrant colours and 60Hz refresh rate or 7ms response time for much less motion blur during action movies or sports, with the 16:9 image aspect ratio you can enjoy cinematic widescreen experience.
Black Upstar P32EA8 has a simplistic design with a stylish rectangular glass base, weighs 15 pounds and measures 19.4 x 29.1 x 17 inches and is wall mountable. It would be ideal for a small living room or any other rooms or bedrooms of your house- perhaps 32 inch is a little small for a large living room. It seems to be quite easy to set-up (keep in mind that the input button is the source button) and connectivity options include 3x HDMI ports, a USB port, a VGA port, AV input, Audio input, RF input and Component / Composite so you may connect to several HD devices through these ports. Sound quality is quite all right for such a low cost TV through its two main-channel integrated speakers or 2 x 10 watts and functions like noise reduction, sound equaliser settings and auto volume control contribute to a nice audio experience.
Some customers may be worried or hesitant with Upstar as it is not a very well-known major TV brand- obviously not a Samsung, Sony or LG (maybe some of you have not even heard the name before) and they may expect a poorer quality but judging by tens of reviews online for this specific model and Upstar brand, it doesn’t seem to be the case at all. Picture quality is enhanced by great features like auto dynamic contrast enhancement and 3D comb filter that processes the image that comes in to make sure you see accurate colours (color depth of 16.7 million colours) and picture that is free from noisy artifacts- Image quality is actually quite impressive for the price. What is even more interesting is the stereo sound and the number of connectivity ports that you would not even see on some televisions that cost hundreds of dollars more.
Sound is all right for the price but if you want to hear even better sound you can always connect a soundbar or speakers and subwoofer so you can easily connect a blu ray player or your laptop to the TV through one of the HDMI ports and stream videos from the internet and watch in HD quality or edit photos and videos. The glass base is really nice but a couple of customers had a problem with putting it up as the screws were a little large for the holes but they managed to attach it finally – but we doubt this would be the case for all the units. It is an Energy Star qualified unit (power consumption of 65 watt operational and 0.5 watt on standby) and comes with a standard limited 1 year warranty by the manufacturer. Highly recommended if you’re on a budget and want a second or third TV for rooms other than the main living room in your house.
