Lenovo Flex 4 (80SA0004US) is a 14 inch 2-in-1 Full HD touchscreen laptop and tablet that can also be used in stand and tent modes, for immersive entertainment and work productivity with power and performance thanks to the high end technical specs including the latest 6th generation dual core Intel i5-6200U processor at 2.3GHz to 2.8GHz speeds with turbo and hyper-threading (two cores to handle four threads), generous 8GB DDR3L SDRAM, fast 256GB Solid State Drive as plenty of space for your media files and Windows 10 64-bit operating system. You can change between laptop, tent, stand and tablet modes very easily around its sturdy 360 degree hinge. 14 inch LED-lit FHD screen with IPS panel (In-plane switching ) offers 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution for crisp and clear image and 178 degree vertical and horizontal viewing angles so you can share the screen with others comfortably. Integrated Intel HD graphics card is good for general multimedia and entry level gaming- older titles at medium settings and some new titles at lower settings. There is a 720p resolution good quality webcam for casual live chats and still snapshots, and you’ll hear crisp sound through Harmon Audio and stereo speakers. Black Lenovo Flex 4 has the diamond cut bevel framing on the palm rest, has that premium look and feel of a pricey computer, weighs 3.8 pounds and measures 13.24 x 0.82 x 9.13 inches- slim and lighter than previous Lenovo Flex’s.
Keyboard is backlit (control with function and space bar), has larger keys than before making it easier to type accurately, has no 10-key numeric pad but a good size responsive touchpad underneath the space bar. Due to design of 2-in-1 convertible you won’t get a DVD Drive and there is no Ethernet / RJ-45 for wired internet access but you have the faster internet connection thanks to the 802.11ac wireless, Bluetooth 4.0, faster data transfer with the two USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI output and a Media Card Reader. Thanks to the low TDP of ultra low voltage processor, the 3-cell 52.5Wh lithium polymer battery offers 6 to 7 hours of battery life in practice when you’re surfing the net or watching a movie at medium lighting. 256GB is large enough for accommodating lots of files so you will not really need additional storage. We don’t recommend keeping the 30 day McAfee trial as Windows 10 has some better built-in security than before and you’ll probably be fine with a free AVG that you can download online. It seems to be a very decent value computer for the price: Speed, heavyweight performance, large, fast and durable SSD storage, great multitasking, beautiful design, versatility, portability, good battery life and more. Intel i5-6200U processor has a benchmark score of around 4000 for both smooth running of simple daily stuff and more complex advanced tasks and the 8GB memory gives plenty of multitasking power. This is not an advanced gaming machine as it doesn’t include a mid-range graphics card but an Intel HD 520 (similar to GeForce 820M) that will play a few of the latest games at low settings. Price is relatively affordable considering the 2-in-1’s cost more for the design and the great specs.
