With the clear two-way audio you can speak to people at the door or just a use a pre-recorded quick message. It has the Night Vision feature for you to see clearly at night without any light on. You can turn on the integrated smart siren automatically and remotely when you need to. Your visitors can leave you a voice message when you’re not at home or can’t answer the door. And you can listen to the message remotely later on. With the motion sensor and alerts you will get alerts on your smartphone when any motion is detected in front of your door.
You can even watch the live streaming video from your tablet or phone. It will call your phone instantly and you won’t miss your visitors. It will be installed on the spot for your wired doorbell and chime with the electrical wiring (between 16V and 24V AC) along with a 10Va transformer. Or you can call a professional installer if you need any help with the installation. The installation procedure is similar to the Nest. purchase. You’ll still get instant alerts, receive direct video calls from your doorbell, play quick reply msgs, and live stream video from the doorbell even without the paid service.
Arlo Video Doorbell gets non-stop power from your existing wiring for transmitting videos in real time and less latency, for you not to miss anything. However you can hook it up wirelessly and you need to get the door chime separately. The subscription fee is 3 dollars for each cam and 5 dollars for HD cam. This door bell doesn’t need a base station as it hooks up straight to your 2.4GHz home wireless network. Please note that it doesn’t come with the 7-day cloud storage with the other Arlo cams and the CVR- Continuous Video Recording is not supported on this Arlo Doorbell.
