25″ Acer G257HL bmidx FHD Widescreen Display via Amazon
Acer G257HL is a first class very slim profile 25 inch Full HD LED backlit widescreen LCD flatpanel diagonal display monitor in terms of features, performance, sleek design, eco-friendliness, lower energy consumption with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, 16:9 cinematic aspect ratio and 100 Million:1 contrast ratio for clearer images with fine details, 4ms response time for sharper mages in motion and a nice X-shaped base at a low budget price. Zero frame design Acer G227HQL Abi is the 21.5 inch version, G237HL bi is 23 inches and the G247HL bid is 24 inches and they all share more or less the same features and specs.
Late 2014 release black Acer G257HL’s 25 inch screen weighs 7.7 pounds and measures 22.7 x 7.3 x 16.8 inches- is a very sleek monitor with a very slim profile, is neither too small nor too big and has a medium screen size. It comes with the HDMI, VGA and DVI with HDCP inputs as connectivity options to easily connect your PC on other peripherals but no USB ports. It is not a VESA wall mountable unit and not sure if many people would need that feature and it is probably because of how slim the screen is but it would have been probably just a simple additional thing to be put on. 20 million:1 is the most commonly found dynamic contrast ratio and the 100m:1 found on this model is five times that amount and appears to be the best in its class. You might need to adjust the screen a little if you are using an HDMI cable (which is not included and you can get one cheaply with the purchase of this unit) as it is a little bright at first by factory settings.
The Acer G257HL as an IPS panel display, its viewing angles are great at up to 178 degrees horizontally and vertically. At 4ms response time there is hardly any noticeable lagging and is also ideal for gaming purposes just like it is for video streaming and other multimedia stuff- is great overall monitor for both work (school or office use) and entertainment. Just like the majority of PC screens it doesn’t have an integrated webcam, so that is not really a negative point also considering its fairly low price point and you can get a good quality one cheaply on Amazon.com. It doesn’t have a lot of those extra bells and whistles but what matters most here is the superior image quality- sharpness, clarity, vibrant colours, great refresh rates and very large viewing angles and yes this model is a winner at a very affordable price, which is by the way a very common feature of a lot of Acer products and this never means that Acer makes inferior products and quite the contrary Acer’s are most often great value computers and monitors.
